When I was a child, my father taught me, I believe, everything I needed to get by in life. Admittedly, as a girl, I could have used a woman's influence more than I had. I gave up ballet for third base, and to this day I would rather work on cars than do laundry. Maybe I swear too much, and perhaps I could be a little softer in my opinions, but for the most part, my father and brothers did their best.
