The Most Influential Patriot Women of Facebook

When digg eliminated their shout system, the heretics were forced to move on to greener pastures. So about a year ago we decided to give facebook a shot in order to network our site. Much to our delight, we found an amazing group of people (in the thousands) all with the same goals in mind, to obtain and disseminate information pertaining to the plight of the country, and form bonds and friendships with people who share the same value system. Well in the year we have been a part of the facebook patriot network, we have done just that. We want to present to you the women that we feel make a huge impact on facebook. We took the following into consideration when we compiled this list: number of friends, frequency of posts, relevance of posts and how they further the cause, and also we asked the fb community for the women they thought deserved to be mentioned. So here they are in their own words, in no specific order, the God-fearing, America loving, women of facebook:
Kim Brubaker

When I typed out the first few lines of my profile on Facebook almost two years ago, I never imagined I would be sharing my life and opinions with 5,000 new conservative friends from all across America. After all, I was just a simple Ohio farm girl who worked her first job at McDonald’s before moving to places as distant as Los Angeles, Atlanta, Albany NY, and most recently, sunny Florida, getting married and raising four kids along the way. While I didn’t have the opportunity to attend college, my experience in raising a family and interacting with people in various work environments blessed me with the ability to intuitively understand what average Americans want from their government. In fact, my husband calls me “Mrs. Middle America”.
So when Facebook came along, I had no idea of its potential, but I quickly learned it is perfect for touching hundreds of people’s lives each day with a message of traditional values and enjoying the simple pleasures in life. Sharing our daily routines, special events, and the blessings of our free society remind us that what really matters is not what government should be doing for us, but what we should be doing for ourselves and for each other. Hopefully, what we all share with thousands of our fellow conservatives on Facebook each day brightens all of our lives, giving us laughter and hope that someday our government will live within its means again and stay out of our lives. It is not at all surprising that Facebook, one of the most revolutionary forms of communication ever, was invented in America!

"I came to facebook to meet and connect with like minded conservatives and patriotic Americans. I hope what I bring to the discourse is a certain pragmatism and rationality that sometimes is lacking. Sure we are all angry however we cannot allow ourselves to lose control when steadfast adherence to our values, principals and control of our justified rage is the better road to take. But I do not suffer fools.
My father raised me to be a hunter, and to appreciate the simple things in life. There is nothing better for the human soul than the hunt. I believe in hunting because I believe in the journey. No matter how far you go in persuing that buck, that moose, that Elk or Bear you will emerge changed and better for it. I am in love with my country and our history. I believe in our way of life and that the most perfect document ever written after the Holy Bible is the US Constitution. We The People, does it get any better than that? No. After living in Germany for a semester I came back realizing how lucky and truly blessed we are in the USA. The American journey is the epiphany of Western Civilization. I say we glory in it."

I am on facebook to inspire others, especially teaching females to learn to shoot guns. I have heard many success stories of female friends that have learned to shoot because of my encouragement, every story I hear is extremely rewarding to me. My nickname on facebook is ICareeGuns. I'm also very involved with the Iowa politics but I'm not part of the "GOP establishment". I am a Conservative grassroots organizer and have been honored to be involved with Conservative candidates including: Presidential Candidate Tom Tancredo and Christopher Reed for Congress. Although neither won, I learned more about integrity, personal convictions and being vigilant from these two men than from anyone else in my life. I also encourage facebook friends to get involved with candidates since I know how how hard candidates have to work and many have sent me personal notes to tell me they are involved because of me which is very humbling.
I was also very instrumental in using facebook to get fb friends to call or fax to the white house to free Ramos and Compean and Bush commuted them on his last day in office.

I’m a former music industry hack who got sick of the game. Since I’m a masochist, I ended up in politics. I was a business major who really never wanted anything to do with business, and now I play on the internet. And write. And do radio. And a whole bunch of activism. My day job is Interactive Media Coordinator for FreedomWorks I think Facebook and other social platforms are the catalyst for the conservative groundswell we've seen in the past year and a half. It's free and accessible, and it's a platform that gives us a way to come together from anywhere in the country. It's hard to imagine the Tea Parties being organized without the use of Facebook and Twitter!"

I am a happily married mommy to one beautiful little girl, and I was recently brought aboard The North Star National as a syndicated political columnist. I am pro-life, pro-second amendment, pro-small government and pro-constitution! It's time to do an about-face and head right back to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness that our founders intended for us.
One of the reasons I love Facebook is because it gives us an avenue to meet other like-minded liberty loving patriots and network with them all across the country. It also gives us the opportunity to help educate people about what's happening to our nation, and to help wake them up to what they can do to help take our country back. One of my favorite quotes sums this idea up nicely for me: "It does not take a majority to prevail, but rather an irate and tireless minority keen on setting brushfires of freedom in the minds of men." ~Samuel Adams

I am a christian mother of 5 beautiful kids. I am a Reagan conservative who adores my family and country. I am pro-life, pro-gun, pro-God, and pro-Israel. I have never been politically active until I knew Obama was the wrong choice for our country. I knew our country was being deceived. The people he was affiliated with and the false hope he brought to our country. Everything that had to do with Obama concerned me. I want my kids to live in a country that I was raised in. I did not want my children to be in debt because of our governments greed.
Sarah Palin also woke me up..As her being a mother five as well she showed me strength in her faith. She was put through so much through the elections it woke me up on how horrible the liberal media bias had taken over the news. As far as I was concerned, journalism was dead. I see how strong her faith was and I wanted that strength what ever they did to her she took it in stride and held her head high.
Thank you for this opportunity to share a little bit of my story.

Until September 11, 2001, approximately 8:15 am, I thought of myself as a Conservative in word and deed. I was a Correction Officer, working at the Milwaukee County House of Correction. But, I had voted for Clinton both times, and voted for Gore, just to piss my husband off. That day, I realized I was only HALF awake. I usually listened to mainstream media and the pablum they fed me. After that day, I swore NO more.
When I saw Obama overtake Clinton in the 2008 election, I said to myself, “Who is this guy?” It didn’t take much digging, I was shocked, did NOT anyone know about this? I saw videos about Rev. Wright and Ayers, but also saw the Lamestream media do nothing to report this. If the KKK were bending the ear of a President, they would be howling from the rooftops, with blood in their eye. This is why I am here today. It is up to US, we Patriots, to ring Freedom’s Bell, once again, and wake our country up! I will NEVER stop fighting, to my dying breath! God Bless America!

People typically look at me like a three headed monster when I tell them I am a registered republican and that I voted for George W. Bush in 2004, in the first election I could legally participate in. I have tattoos, I am in my mid 20's, I am unmarried and I hang out in bars, drink and go to live local shows to see bands, counting music as my passion, second only to my politics. That I am pro-life, Anti-Islam, and have a rad relationship with Jesus tends to be a real jaw-dropper, as well.
In the last fives years, my political activity on Facebook has gained momentum. Through channels of debate and engagement, I have met some incredibly patriotic citizens of the United States, and I am even co-hosting a conservative internet talk radio program. While I contend that my page is always open for debate and that I am not running an echo chamber, I won't lie that it is comforting knowing that there are a plethora of people with an equal or greater thirst for knowledge on topics so utterly imperative to our very existence. I balk at ANYONE who says we should not be talking about these issues, or those who urge me to "de-friend" those with opposing viewpoints; for they know not of the freedom of speech they are afforded, or the fight I will engage into protect it, thanks in no small part to our constitution.

When I (somewhat reluctantly) joined Facebook and Twitter in August of 2008 after reading about the conservative online revolution taking place, I had no idea of the blessings it would bring into my life. Having been raised a proud American with traditional values and love for this great nation, I wanted to connect with like-minded patriots all across the country, and maintain my sanity in the age of Obama. I'd been blogging at various places for several years, including Palin Drone, an effort my brothers and I embarked upon after our favorite governor was selected by John McCain to be his VP nominee.
Ok, I also wanted to promote my novel and find other outlets for my writing and blogging passion (for which FB has been an invaluable resource, Parcbench being just one of many great connections I've made). However, the best part of the entire experience for me has been the cultivation of solid, genuine friendships with political activists who possess a mutual, undying love of the United States and the freedom it represents. I am honored to work side-by-side with all of these dedicated Americans in taking our country back.

Until I heard Rev Wright spew garbage about the BEST country on Earth I was never even involved in politics. I looked into him and the connection he had to BO, who I never thought would win the election, and all hell broke loose. I was a lifelong Democrat because my family was. Once I started "paying attention" I realized I am a Conservative in every way. My Mom, also a lifelong Dem in her 70's, has changed party affiliation as the Dem party has "left her"!
I will help any candidate anywhere that is a TRUE conservative! I even traveled to NJ to help Chris Christie, worked with Ed Lynch, several other candidates across the country, and will soon join the campaign for Gov of FL. I am also going to be joining the Republican Executive Committee in PBC and I am on the advisory board for YAF.

I was rather uninformed and apolitical when I was in the military but I could feel the difference in attitude when serving during both the Clinton and Bush administrations. I kind of stopped paying attention for a few years after I left the military but I still remained fiercely patriotic.
I really began to speak out when Obama came on the scene and I learned more about him and found so many holes in his story. It worried me to see so many people falling for him so blindly yet there were so many things to raise red flags. The more I spoke out against him the more I saw that people like me were being targeted. I was a new mother so I was worried about my son's future. I felt that I didn't have much ground to talk if I wasn't going to be an instrument of change. I did not serve years in the military to watch the country I fought for go to hell.
I decided to find other people that felt the same way I did. I agreed to do a panel for CNN in October of 2008 (BIG mistake) and found how words were being twisted. This made me want to speak out even more so that my words would not be misrepresented.
I decided to try and find like minded black conservatives so we could amplify our voice and let others know that not all blacks were following Obama blindly.
Now everything I do is with the thought in mind that if my America ever does end up going to hell, it won't be without a damn good fight because my son's and the children of all other people who care, as well as America, is at stake. Sounds so cliche but sometimes it's just that simple.

In closing:
"Cautious, careful people, always casting about to preserve their reputation and social standing, never can bring about a reform. Those who are really in earnest must be willing to be anything or nothing in the world's estimation, and publicly and privately, in season and out, avow their sympathy with despised and persecuted ideas and their advocates, and bear the consequences."
