Coakley Campaign Inspiring...Excuses?

In the face of what is ramping up to be the biggest upset to date for the Liberal Left, State Senator Scott Brown is in position to tip the balance in the U.S. Senate by defeating former Massachusetts Attorney General Martha Coakley.

With President Obama's own advisers hinting of a probable defeat of their chosen candidate, Coakley, the writing is certainly on the wall. Despite Obama's "last minute" stumping for the apparently sudden underdog, it seems the White House, liberal politicians, and the leftist media are inspiring...excuses?

Admittedly, Coakley has had some "dumber than a bag of Biden" moments, including suggesting those with religious beliefs shouldn't work in an emergency room, and calling a Boston hero (former Red Sox pitcher Curt Schilling) just "another Yankee's fan." Which is blasphemy in Massachusetts, considering Curt Schilling helped the Red Sox win their first World Series since 1918, enduring a rather shocking ankle injury that caused him to bleed through his sock. She may as well have gone to London and called the Queen a transvestite.

Nonetheless, in such a high stakes game, one would think the left would be pulling out all the stops for their candidate. Not so. Instead, the excuses as to why she is set to lose are rampant. Let's take a look at some of them:

Barney Frank (D-MA) "She let it become a personality contest and that was a mistake. Some of us complained about it and we think it's turned around." In other words, she is so unlikable that Scott Brown will win based on the ignorance of Mass voters. (Considering that he himself represents Mass, he may have a point.)

Daily Kos: Scott Brown will win because he has hired temp workers to staff his "get-out-the-vote" campaign. Daily Kos claims it's "odd" to have hired temp workers for what they say is a grassroots campaign.

Daily Kos: Claims Republicans are going to jam Coakley's GOTV phone lines, so again, it isn't her fault she is losing in a state where Independents outnumber both Democrats and Republicans combined.

 Ed Schultz, MSNBC says, "I tell you what, if I lived in Massachusetts I'd try to vote 10 times. I don't know if they'd let me or not, but I'd try to. Yeah, that's right. I'd cheat to keep these bastards out. I would. 'Cause that's exactly what they are." But the "bastards" aren't the ones who are suggesting people commit voter fraud. Hmmm...

From CNN: "Coakley's challenger -- a pickup truck-driving Republican state lawmaker -- has the backing of frustrated Tea Party voters."

So folks, in the event of a loss to the dems, you can expect more of the preceding comments to pour forth like a torrent let loose of its dam. Grab a raft, it's going to be a rough ride!
