Barack Obama said in 2001 (and I paraphrase): “The Constitution reflected the enormous blind spot in this culture. The framers had the same blind spot, and it is reflected in the fundamental flaws of the country that continue to this day.” To the enlightened reader, it is painfully apparent that this man who would later go on to be our President had no intention of abiding by the constructs the founders set in place for this country.

A month after a White House spokesman labeled the issue a state matter, Patrick said he and Obama spoke about changing the law as they both attended Kennedy's funeral in Boston last month. He also said White House aides have been in contact frequently ever since and pushing for the change so they can regain their filibuster-proof majority in the U.S. Senate.

"He and his whole team have been very clear about that," Patrick told reporters after holding a Cabinet meeting near his Berkshire Mountains vacation home.

"It's out there that the Senate president and the (House) speaker are trying to figure out whether this can be accomplished, and he fully understands, as do his aides, who I have talked to more about it, the importance of having the support for a change agenda down in Washington," Patrick added.”

So there you have it, our dear leader stepping right over the 10^th Amendment, and clearly trampling on state sovereignty. Are we really surprised? I mean the only other option for Barry and the democratic oligarchy is to use the nuclear option of 51 votes in the senate, another constitutional icksnay considering it is only to be used in times of a budget crisis. Face it Obama, you are going against the will of the people and you are stepping over the constitution that you swore to protect against threats foreign and domestic. You are flirting with disaster and impeachment.
